We have been providing advice to families worried about how best to meet long-term care costs for over 15 years. We are a trusted partner to both Anchor Trust and Bupa Care Homes as well as many other care providers, Local Authorities and professional advisers.
All Eldercare advisers hold a ‘Statement of Professional Standing’ and are registered with the Financial Conduct Authority and all members of the Eldercare team hold the Chartered Insurance Institute qualification ‘CF8 Long Term Care Insurance’.
Nicky, Andrew, Annette and Penny are Later Life Accredited Advisers and members of the Society of Later Life Advisers (SOLLA). In addition Nicky and Andrew sit on the Advisory Board of SOLLA and play a key role in the promotion and awareness of qualified later life advice for consumers.
As well as all our professional qualifications and expertise in the area of long-term care, we are proud to have been presented with a number of awards over the years, the most prestigious being those given out at the annual Health Insurance Awards at the Grosvenor Hotel in London’s Park Lane. In 2010 we won both the Best Long-Term Care Intermediary award and the Health Insurance Intermediary award, the accolade given to the best Intermediary from all categories. We had previously won the Best Long-Term Care Intermediary Award in 2006 and 2003. In 2013 we once again won the Best Long-Term Care Intermediary Award and in 2016 we were short-listed alongside the likes of KPMG ad Deloitte in the LaingBuisson Best Financial Adviser category.
Judges Comments for Best Long-Term Care Intermediary: The judges were hugely impressed by the quality of all the entries in the shortlist for this category, which was felt to demonstrate the very best client service the industry has to offer. “All have that excellence about them that we are looking for”, said one judge. Entrants demonstrated a commitment to the needs of clients, often in stressful circumstances, and a strong grasp of the many issues that surround long-term care including state benefits. The panel was particularly impressed, however, by Eldercare’s commitment to offering support around property management and insight into the legal framework around long-term care.
Judges’ Comments for Health Insurance Intermediary of the Year: With long-term care finally taking centre stage in the political agenda and thousands of elderly people needing to fund their own care, our judges wanted to highlight the efforts of the advisory community in offering support to families and individuals at what can be a stressful time. Our panel was hugely impressed by our winner’s commitment to her clients. Nicky Cave at Eldercare demonstrates a holistic approach to providing advice, from help in property management to a grasp of the complexities of the legal and state support structures to finding the right funding solution.
